Dublin, Ireland – Believe it or not, it’s June 5th already here in Dublin and the showers of summer have arrived. Met Éireann are cautiously warning of a heatwave that may be just around the corner. Sometimes you don’t need the beautiful weather-warning-wizards to tell you what’s hot; you just need to hear the right tune blasting over the waves of FM radio. This year, that tune might just be Brian Barker’s debut single, “Americay.”

“Americay is a track that captures the world as seen through a child’s eyes. It’s a song about wonder, imagination, and that bright sense of possibility we carry when we’re young,” Brian tells. And this track is definitely fun and imaginative. It features a bouncy rhythm, a catchy lead melody, and a sneaky saxophone that slowly joins the party before sending us off with a tasty solo!

“The creation of Americay involved a lengthy collaborative process” While the recording spanned several months across multiple Junes and Septembers ,,over the years, the resulting single is a vibrant and fresh production. Brian’s evocative songwriting is supported by the talents of Dan “Sugafoot” Noonan on Drums, Padraig “Midnight” Dooney on Sax, and Jake “the Boogie Bear” Quinn on Percussion, with overall guidance from producer Darren “Swift” Roe. Musically, the track possesses a joyous spirit, culminating in a saxophone crescendo that will lift the hairs on the most disinterested musical ear.
